Between 1890 and 2016, almost one thousand players have appeared in the first team for either Ardwick or Manchester City.

 

Published in conjunction with the M.C.F.C Former Players’ Association and having taken three years to research, this hugely detailed book details every one of those players, some of whom literally featured for a matter of minutes in a single game whilst others took part in hundreds of games and earned national and international fame.

 

Fully illustrated throughout, the book chronicles the players both before and after their time with Ardwick/City; their debuts and last games; appearances; goals scored; birth, death and census records and, where known, what happened to them when they hung up their boots for the last time.
